PRENATAL YOGA
Prenatal yoga gives mamas a valuable space to get centered and nurture their pregnancy journey. This class is open to all levels of yoga experience, during any stage of pregnancy. Each class includes yoga and movement instruction, laboring techniques, meditation and deep relaxation. Along with helping with common aches and pains that can be associated with pregnancy, these practices will also help prepare a mama’s body for birth and her postpartum period. I offer a more functional approach to teaching prenatal yoga that includes moves and exercises that mobilize and strengthen the pregnant body, balance the pelvis and help support the changing core canister. We work on learning how to breathe in ways that optimizes our intra abdominal pressure and also help to create the space for optimal fetal positioning. These practices support the pregnant body and prepare for childbirth and the postpartum period. My classes are educational, therapeutic and strength based, while being held within the yogic philosophy, practices of mindfulness and plenty of hummer!
